ReHabilitative Massage Therapy Services & Rates

Services

We provide Traditional Swedish Massage which can range from relaxation treatments to deep muscle release massage therapy.  All treatments are customized to meet your individual needs.

The use of hydrotherapy or cryotherapy (heat or cold), joint mobilizations (joint play), stretching, frictions, fascial release techniques and manual lymphatic drainage may be incorporated during a treatment and is always discussed prior with clients.

We are also certified in other modalities, which fall within the scope of massage therapy, such as:

Neuro-Proprioceptive Taping: promotes muscle relaxation, prepares athletes for sports, rehabilitates injuries and improves postural conditions.

Therapeutic Ultrasound: use of sound waves penetrates soft tissues in specific target tissues. This provides relief from a variety of discomforts from acutes to chronic by promoting healing and soft tissue recovery.

Cupping Therapy: a vacuum is created in a plastic cup, drawing the skin up to address the layers of superficial fascia. This causes new blood to rush in and to remove stagnation. This affects deeper tissues by removing fascial restrictions to increase range of motion by releasing tension, breaking down scar tissue, repairs tissue and improves circulation.

TCM and Medical-Neuro Acupuncture: Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. It is most commonly used to treat pain, chronic conditions, manage overall wellness and decrease stress. Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue which can stimulate your body’s natural painkillers.
We are trained in both TCM as well as Medical Neuro-Acupuncture where we received our certification from the International Medical Arts Institute and is approved by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Reiki Healing Therapy: Reiki is an ancient system of energy healing called “Usui Shiko Ryoho” and means “Universal Life Force Energy”. Reiki heals on all levels; physically, mentally and spiritually, and supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is also non-denominational; all you need is a capacity for belief and the desire to heal and be healed.
Reiki Practitioners are given the ability to channel Reiki through a process of initiation known as an attunement. This allows the Practitioner to receive and transmit Reiki energy, as needed. Recipients are fully-clothed while the practitioner hovers their hands above the recipient’s body, allowing the flow of Reiki energy to go into the areas requiring treatment.
The benefits of Reiki include deep relaxation, enhances quality of life, boosts mood, helps people cope with difficulties, relieves emotional stress, and improves overall well-being. It is believed that Reiki can heal a person’s spirit, balance a person’s energies, provide grounding and enhance clarity and self-awareness.
A session varies in duration as it is dependent on how long it takes to balance the Chakras.
