This privacy statement has been created in order to demonstrate ReHabilitative Massage Therapy’s firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Collection of Personal Information
ReHabilitative Massage Therapy is committed to collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for our services, which is to primarily provide responsible and safe treatments. Our clinic reviews client files for the purpose of ensuring that we provide high quality services.  There are times where external professionals such as physicians, lawyers or physiotherapists may need access to your files however, we may not release/share information without a client’s written consent.

Registered Massage Therapists are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). The CMTO may inspect our records and interview our staff as a part of their regulatory activities in the public interest. In addition, as professionals, we will report serious misconduct, incompetence or incapacity of other practitioners, whether they belong to other organizations or our own. ReHabilitative Massage Therapy believes that we should report information suggesting serious illegal behavior to the authorities if ever required.

We need to retain personal information to ensure that we can answer any question the client may have about the services provided and for our own accountability to external regulatory bodies. For this reason, we keep our clients files for ten years according to our College regulations. We destroy paper files containing personal information by shredding and electronic information/hardware is physically destroyed.

The web server hosting ReHabilitative Massage Therapy automatically collects information about your computer hardware and software. The data collected can include your IP address, internet browser type, access times and information on any web sites that have referred you to our website. This information is used to maintain statistics for this web site. The data is also obtained to help troubleshoot any issues that may be experienced by users while visiting this site.
